Aim of the survey:

With rising living standards, health has become a top priority for many people, leading to changes in dietary habits. This survey aims to understand our audience’s dietary habits and their perceptions towards vegetarian food. As we celebrate the 11th anniversary of Vegetarian Food Asia, we invite you to participate. Your input can help shape a healthier and greener future.

Introduction:

The dietary habits of Hong Kong residents are diverse. Many people have adopted vegetarian for a variety of reasons, with a notable rise in the trend of flexitarian. Before we start the survey, let’s first take a look at some common dietary practices in Hong Kong:

·    Vegan: People who do not eat any food containing animal products, including dairy products.

·    Lacto-ovo Vegetarianism: Mainly plant-based diet that excludes meat and fish, but includes dairy and eggs.

·    Flexitarian: People who mainly eat plant-based foods, but occasionally eat meat or fish.

·    Omnivore: People who eat meat and vegetables.
